Sunday in the Park with Jazz 2010

September 26 . . . Sunday in the Park with Jazz!  An afternoon in the sun listening to local jazz artists Todd Harrold Band, Northeast Indiana Jazz Workshop, The Mark Van Cleave Orchestra, and Groove Caravan in Headwaters Park west from 1-5pm. Food and drinks will be available for Purchase from Club Soda and Dawgs Dogs. Bring your lawn chair, or blanket, and enjoy downtown Fort Wayne surrounded by the sounds of our talented local Jazz musicians. Remembering Daniel Schorr, 1916-2010

NPR Senior News Analyst Daniel Schorr passed away last month at the age of 93. In 1976, he was taken off the air at CBS after leaking news of illegal CIA activities that CBS was too afraid to report on. After a brief stint at CNN, Schorr found NPR in 1985, and he never had to worry about losing his job to principle ever again. Hear Schorr talk about it in an interview with his son on StoryCorps.
