NPR Senior News Analyst Daniel Schorr passed away last month at the age of 93. In 1976, he was taken off the air at CBS after leaking news of illegal CIA activities that CBS was too afraid to report on.
After a brief stint at CNN, Schorr found NPR in 1985, and he never had to worry about losing his job to principle ever again. Hear Schorr talk about it in an interview with his son on StoryCorps. You can also read about Daniel Schorr's amazing career.
