Corporate Engagement Manager

Corporate Engagement Manager

Northeast Indiana Public Radio seeks an innovative, articulate, creative professional to develop relationships and partnerships with businesses, large and small, throughout our listening area.  Public radio offers corporate partners an opportunity to support an important community resource while making connections with a desirable demographic with purchasing power.

Responsibilities will include designing and managing a small business partners program, growing and evaluating event and program sponsorship opportunities, and working with existing clients to meet aggressive corporate giving goals.

This is a full-time salaried position, with salary and benefits based on experience.

Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to, a bachelors degree in a related field, experience in fundraising, particularly corporate development, well-honed writing and speaking skills, knowledge of northeast Indiana businesses, outgoing and confident personality with the ability to connect positively with business owners, marketing directors, advertising agencies, and civic leaders.  Successful experience in sales, marketing, or promotions may substitute for formal development experience.  Must be computer savvy and able to utilize data management tools.  Being a team player with generous spirit, cooperative manner, and ability to put the good of the organization first is of critical importance. Passion for public radio and its importance in this community is a crucial element.

This is a new position, created to take the place of a traditional “sales” department, aimed at developing deeper, more meaningful relationships with corporate partners, relationships that transcend the simple concept of “buying advertising”.  We are looking for someone who can inspire businesses to enter into creative partnerships with us as we provide news, information, entertainment, and value for our listeners.  We are very enthusiastic about this new approach and want to find a mature, seasoned professional to “own” this new department of one.

If this is you, please send a resume, cover letter, and your salary requirements (this is essential if you wish to be considered) to Joan Baumgartner Brown, General Manager, Northeast Indiana Public Radio, P.O. Box 8459, Fort Wayne, IN 46898.  Fax to 260-452-1188 or email to jbrown@nipr.fm

NIPR is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Position is available immediately and will remain open until filled.
